Therapy Intensives in New Mexico & Colorado
Giving yourself room to go deeper without interruption.
Therapy doesn't always fit neatly into a 50-minute session. Sometimes there is something you want to explore more deeply, a transition you're moving through, or a pattern you're ready to work on without having to stop just as you're getting somewhere meaningful.
Therapy intensives offer a longer, more spacious format for focused therapeutic work. Instead of spreading a particular area of focus across multiple shorter sessions, we can set aside dedicated time to slow down, go deeper, and give the work the attention it deserves.
A different pace for deeper work
You can come into an intensive with a clear understanding of what you'd like to work on, or we can explore it together and discover what feels most important as we begin. Depending on your needs, an intensive may incorporate EMDR, IFS, Brainspotting, somatic therapy, or a combination of approaches.
What might an intensive look like?
We begin by identifying what feels most important for you and creating an intention for our time together. From there, we may move between conversation, reflection, experiential therapy, processing, nervous-system regulation, and integration.
You might spend time exploring a particular experience or pattern, working through something that has been weighing on you, or making space for emotions that haven't had much room to be felt. We can take breaks, slow down, shift approaches, and adjust based on what you're experiencing.
The additional time allows us to settle in without watching the clock quite so closely. Instead of wrapping up just as something meaningful is emerging, we have more room to stay with it, explore it, and integrate what you're discovering.
What can intensives be helpful for?
Intensives can be a supportive option for a wide range of experiences and seasons of life, including but not limited to:
Chronic stress and overwhelm
Burnout and depletion
Complex or developmental trauma
A specific traumatic or isolated experience
Grief and loss
Major life transitions and periods of change
Relationship challenges or recurring patterns
Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
Perfectionism and fear of failure
Habit changes and addressing long-standing patterns
Hitting a plateau in weekly talk therapy
Feeling stuck and ready for meaningful change
Focused personal growth and self-exploration
Flexible support for full lives
Intensives can also be a great fit if you have a busy schedule or don't want to commit to traditional weekly therapy. Rather than meeting for 50 minutes every week, you may prefer a format that gives you more time together while requiring fewer appointments.
For ongoing work, this might look like two-hour sessions twice a month or a three-hour session once a month. This can provide consistency and continuity while creating more spaciousness within each session.
The right rhythm depends on your needs, capacity, goals, and the type of work we're doing. We can talk together about what format makes the most sense for you.
For empaths, deep feelers & sensitive souls
If you're an empath, deep feeler, or sensitive soul, you may find that you need time to really arrive before you're ready to go deeper. You may process experiences slowly, notice subtle emotions and shifts, or find that meaningful insights emerge once you've had space to move beyond the surface.
The longer format can offer more room to arrive, explore, pause, feel, and integrate—without having to compress your experience into a 50-minute session, often just as we're beginning to uncover the deeper roots of what brought you here.
You don't have to rush your healing.
More time. More space. A deeper opportunity to focus on you.
A 3-hour intensive gives us roughly the same amount of therapeutic time as three months of weekly 50-minute sessions, concentrated into one intentional block. That doesn't mean you'll accomplish three months' worth of healing in three hours—but it does mean we can create a depth and continuity that simply isn't possible in a traditional 50-minute appointment.
For some people, that concentrated time is exactly what they need: fewer interruptions, more room to settle in, and the ability to stay with meaningful work rather than repeatedly starting over each week. Whether you choose a one-time intensive or an ongoing intensive format, this is an opportunity to make more dedicated space for yourself, your healing, and the changes you're ready to make.

Customized client workbook with assessment tools, activities and coping skills.
Sessions can range from 2hrs-3hrs and are available in the following formats:
Intensively: ongoing sessions scheduled at a frequency that feels most supportive for you. This could look like biweekly sessions for 2hrs or monthly for 3hrs.
Intensive: a defined number of sessions scheduled over a concentrated number days, typically 1-3 days. This typically looks like a 90min pre-intensive to identify areas of focus and goals, then 2-3hrs sessions over the course of 1-3 days, with a follow-up 90min session around 2 weeks later for integration.
Working intensively is helpful for deep, accelerating progress, processing complex emotions and experiences, in a supportive and structured environment.
Intentional, uninterrupted therapeutic time that is focused only on YOU and your needs!
