Neurodivergent-affirming ADHD Assessments for Women in New Mexico, Colorado, & Florida

Maybe there’s more to your story.

You’ve probably spent a lot of time wondering why some things seem so much harder for you than they seem to be for everyone else.

Maybe you’re successful, capable, & responsible — but constantly overwhelmed behind the scenes.

Maybe you’ve developed elaborate systems to stay organized, only to feel like everything falls apart when your capacity runs low.

Maybe you procrastinate until the last possible minute, struggle to follow through on things you genuinely care about, lose track of time, get overwhelmed by seemingly small things, or feel like your brain is moving in seventeen directions at once.

Or maybe you’ve wondered about ADHD for years, but have been told you’re too intelligent, too successful, too organized, or simply “don’t seem like someone who has ADHD.”

When ADHD doesn’t look like the stereotype

ADHD isn’t always obvious. For many women, ADHD can look less like outward hyperactivity & more like:

  • chronic overwhelm

  • difficulty starting or finishing certain tasks

  • procrastination & “last-minute motivation”

  • time blindness

  • forgetfulness

  • losing things

  • difficulty prioritizing

  • emotional intensity

  • sensory overwhelm

  • difficulty recognizing your own needs

  • sensitivity to rejection or criticism

  • difficulty with transitions & shifting gears

  • difficulty regulating attention

  • perfectionism & over-preparation

  • needing pressure to get things done

  • difficulty maintaining routines

  • hyperfocus on things that are interesting

  • difficulty maintaining friendships or relationships

  • knowing what you want to say, but struggling to find the words

  • shame around things that seem “easy” for everyone else

High-masking ADHD

You can be highly educated, successful, organized, responsible, & still have ADHD.

Sometimes what looks like “having it all together” is actually years of overcompensating.

You might use extensive calendars, reminders, lists, routines, alarms, organizational systems, or rigid structures just to manage things that seem to come naturally to other people.

You might work twice as long to accomplish the same thing.

You might consistently meet expectations while feeling completely depleted afterward.

You might appear calm while internally experiencing constant mental noise.

And you might have become so good at compensating that no one — including you — recognized what was happening.

The amount of effort it takes to function matters, too.

You may have spent years developing ways to compensate for these difficulties.

And because those strategies worked — at least from the outside — your ADHD may have gone unnoticed.

My assessments intentionally look beyond whether you can technically complete something and explore the internal effort, strategies, patterns, & cost involved in doing so.

My approach to Adult ADHD Assessments

We'll look at your developmental history, current experiences, patterns of functioning, masking & compensation, and other factors that can overlap with ADHD. My assessments focus on diagnostic clarification for individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 with intact language and cognition.

The assessment includes a clinical interview along with standardized measures such as the DIVA-5, ASRS-5, & CAARS, with additional measures included when clinically appropriate.

I'll look at the whole picture — including your testing scores, history, symptoms, & day-to-day functioning — to determine whether ADHD is a good fit for your experience.

Every assessment includes a written summary of findings & recommendations, provided within 1 week of completing the assessment process.

Comprehensive Assessment

ADHD Assessment Process

This option may be right for you if you:

  • have been wondering whether you have ADHD

  • want diagnostic clarity without needing extensive documentation

  • want to better understand your symptoms & patterns

  • are primarily seeking insight & recommendations for next steps

Before your assessment

Before we meet for your assessment, I’ll send over intake paperwork along with several self-paced questionnaires & assessment tools online. This process typically takes between 2-3 hrs. These give me helpful information about your symptoms, experiences, & functioning before we meet.

When appropriate, & with your permission, I may also ask someone who knows you well — such as a partner, friend, parent, or current or previous therapist — to complete a brief collateral questionnaire. This can provide additional perspective on patterns that may have been present across different stages of your life.

Once you've completed the intake documents & your deposit has been paid, we'll schedule your two assessment sessions.

During your assessment

Your assessment is completed in two 80-minute sessions typically scheduled one week apart and includes:

  • Clinical interview & developmental history

  • Standardized ADHD measures completed before the sessions and some throughout the assessment process

  • Review of symptoms & current functioning

  • Consideration of overlapping factors such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and autism.

  • Diagnostic findings and scores

  • Written summary, full report, & recommendations

Investment: $650

Your assessment includes two 80-minute assessment sessions, your self-paced questionnaires & assessment tools, review & interpretation of your results, diagnostic formulation, & a written summary of findings and recommendations.

You can pay for your assessment as you go or purchase the complete package upfront.

Pay as you go

  • $100 deposit to begin the assessment process

  • $275 — First 80-minute assessment session

  • $275 — Second 80-minute assessment session

Or purchase the complete assessment package for $650 upfront when using financing options.

Optional add-ons

30-minute follow-up session — $150

Your written assessment and full report summary will be provided via email within 1 week of completing the assessment process. If you'd like to talk through your results, a follow-up session can be added separately.

This session is supportive if you’d like to review things together, talk through recommendations, answer questions, & discuss what your next steps might look like. This is typically scheduled about 2 weeks after your assessment.

Accommodation letter — $200

If you need documentation to support a workplace, educational, or other accommodation request, an accommodation letter can be added to your assessment when clinically appropriate.

This can be helpful if you're seeking accommodations related to your ADHD diagnosis and need additional documentation beyond your assessment summary.

Important note: This is a diagnostic assessment, not a psychological evaluation. These are different processes, and it matters for how the documentation can be used.
